Silico Plast can be effectively and efficiently used for plastering on red clay bricks, fly ash bricks, concrete blocks, AAC Lightweight Blocks and other types of lightweight blocks. It is a cement-based and water-resistant plaster that is ready to use by just adding the required quantity of water at the site. It is predominantly manufactured for replacement of traditional/conventional site-mixed plaster made of cement and sand, gypsum plaster, stucco plaster or any other premixed/ready-mixed plaster offered in the country. Surface plastered with silico Plast gives a strong even finish on which tiling, painting or marble/granite fixing can be done with speed and efficiency.

Silico Plast is manufactured by m/s Precise Conchem Pvt. Ltd., at their plant located at GIDC Panoli, Bharuch district of Gujarat in an automated process according to formulations based on various product studies and research undertaken. The plant is one of the most modern plants in India, in which all the critical manufacturing processes and operations are completely controlled by P.L.C systems (programmed logic controller). The plant can produce 25,000 bags @ 40 kg per bag of POLYMERIZED DRYMIX MORTAR/PLASTER per day. This plant can be remotely monitored through CCTV cameras installed within the plant area. The company assures a seamless supply of 100% consistent high-quality mortars and plasters at all points of time, around the year.

Method of Application

Foreign materials/particles that may affect adhesion must be removed. For the RCC substrate, the surface should be thoroughly cleaned by a wire brush so that mold oil, grease, dust, dirt, etc., are completely removed. Then the surface should be cleaned/washed with water. A suitable bonding coat is to be applied, followed by a layer of chaat (key) coat made up of silico Plast for proper adhesion to concrete. It is important to use chicken Mesh/PRM (Plaster Reinforcement Mesh) at the junction of concrete surfaces and masonry walls. This chicken mesh should be fixed in such a way that 50% of its width covers the concrete surface and the remaining 50% covers the masonry wall, with the junction exactly at the centre of the chicken mesh. The initial plastered coat should ensure that the chicken Mesh/PRM is completely embedded in the plaster.

For a surface/substrate made of brick/block masonry walls, the surface should be well-saturated/wet with fresh water before applying the plaster. All masonry joints should be properly filled and raked. The substrate on which silico Plast is to be applied should be in a touch-dry condition.

Take 6 to 6.5 liters of potable water for one full bag of 40kg silico Plast powder. Pour ¾ of the water into a mixing tray. Add half the quantity of silico plast and start mixing. Add the remaining quantity of silico plast quickly and again mix thoroughly until a smooth, creamy, lump-free, homogeneous, and cohesive consistency is achieved. For proper activation of additives/polymers in silico plast, allow the mixture to rest without disturbing it for 2 minutes. If necessary, mix it with a little extra water to achieve the required consistency.

Silico plast should be applied within 60 to 90 minutes of its preparation. Ensure that the thickness of a single coat/layer does not exceed 13mm to 15mm per day. For thicknesses above 15mm, combing of the previous layer of silico plast is essential for better bonding of the next layer.

For external plastering, two layers of total thickness 20mm – 25mm should be applied. The first layer of 12mm is applied with mechanical roughening using ms wire, and after 2 days of curing, the second layer (8mm to 10mm) is applied on the dried first surface layer.

Do not expose silico Plast bags to direct sunlight, rain, moisture, or open-air while in storage or on-site.

FAQ's

  • What are Polymerized Drymix Mortars?

Polymerized Drymix Mortars are ready-to-use construction materials designed for superior adhesion, durability, and water resistance, replacing traditional site-mixed mortars.

  • What is the ratio of cement & sand in Silicoplast?

    1 : 3

  • How much water is required to mix Silicoplast for plaster application?

6 to 6.5 lts for 40 kg bag

  • What is strength (Pull out Strength) of Silicoplast in 28 days?

    > 0.7 mpa

  • What is the use of fibre in Silicoplast?

Acts as micro renforcement to control cracks

  • What is ready-made plaster?

Ready-made plaster is a pre-mixed, factory-produced plaster that requires only the addition of water before application. It comes in different types, including polymerized dry mix plaster for durability and crack resistance, gypsum plaster for interior smooth finishing, and cement-based plaster for both internal and external walls. This type of plaster ensures uniform quality, faster application, and better bonding strength than traditional site-mixed plaster.
