Dry mix concrete — also known as dry-batch concrete or site-mix concrete — is a pre-mixed blend of cement, aggregates (sand, gravel), and additives prepared at a plant, but without water. The final mixing with water happens at the construction site, allowing flexibility in workability and mix ratio.
This method offers several unique advantages over traditional wet-mix concrete, especially when precise control, storage, or transport efficiency is critical.

The content of the bag can be mechanically mixed in a free-fall mixer for 3–4 minutes or by hand mixed by passing the contents in a tray. Take approximately 9% to 10% of clean water. Slowly add water and mix it continuously until the desired workability is achieved.
This concrete should be used within 45 minutes of water addition.
There is no need to add further additives or admixtures to the material on site as all required plasticizers and workability aids are already included in the mix.
